Installation

MacOS:

  • Click the BIG purple download button above. If you don't see it, unfortunately your platform isn't supported.

  • Wait for the DMG to download.

  • šŸ˜± Click on that big scary icon that appears in your downloads.

  • Drag the Apollo icon into your Applications folder.

  • IMPORTANT: For the first time you open Apollo, CTRL-Click on Apollo from your Applications folder, and click open.

  • šŸŽ‰ Open Apollo normally from your Applications folder.

Usage

Using Apollo-V is simple:

  • If you want to visualise a regular audio file, just drag & drop the file into Apollo-V's window, or press CMD+O to open a file prompt.

  • Alternatively, press CMD+SHIFT+L to enter PASSTHROUGH mode, where Apollo-V will listen & visualise device audio playing from your Mac.

Apollo-V's Menu (Procedures and Parameters):

Pressing CMD+M will open Apollo-V's menu, where you'll find a list of parameters and procedures.

Apollo-V comes with three default parameters:

  • VELOCITY determines the speed of frequencies in your default waveform.

  • SMOOTHING determines the smoothness of your default waveform.

  • MASTER VOL determines the volume of the music playing within Apollo-V.

And two default procedures:

  • [_1] is a circular visualisation of the frequencies in your music.

  • [_2] renders a waveform with smoothing defined by the SMOOTHING parameter, and velocity by VELOCITY
